Geoff Grace was awarded the $25,000 Sondheim Prize on Saturday for his installation "Its The Linger, Not The Long." We're looking forward to more work from Grace, and excited to see his consistent hard work (having been nominated 2 previous times) rewarded.

2rd Annual Rap Round Robin Totally Rules

The Second Annual All Rap Round Robin, which took place at the Copy Cat Annex kicked it up a notch with some amazing sets (constructed by Emily Slaughter, Sara Seidman, Alex Ebstein, Annie Gray, Sarah Matson, Tim Paggi, and friends), and some seriously stepped up performances.

4th Wall Show Opens @ The Windup Space

The Fourth Wall Show, appropriately hosted by the Windup Space, features a range of music photography from intimate portraiture to telephoto zoom shots of performers on stage. The show is definitely enhanced by its location, contributing to and benefiting from the rock and roll atmosphere of the bar.

Outdoor Lounge Proposal Art @ Current Gallery

Current Gallery's new show, the satellite Outdoor Lounge exhibition (set to open on July 17th), features the actualized pieces by artists whose creative proposals shone above the rest. While these sculptures and installations have been work-intensive ventures, the original proposals were so thoughtfully and beautifully compiled that Michael Benevento chose to present them in their own exhibition.

Alternative ideas for Jordan Bernier's Pants Ramp

The show offers some insight into the artists ' interpretations of the theme, variations in their ideas and end results and better understanding of their individual styles.

The show is interesting and fun, and an excellent addition to the Outdoor Lounge exhibition. Be sure to get there, because its totally worth it.
