Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in San Francisco

Ten Tigers friend, and newest corespondent, Francesca Becker, visited Collection Connections at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, CA this past week. She took some amazing photos of artist Timothy Horn's Bitter Suite project, which is inspired by the legends of California socialite, Alma Spreckels.

The pieces seen here, are: Mother-Load, 2008: Plywood, painted steel, aluminum foil, polystyrene foam, hot glue, acrylic medium, rock sugar, and shellac
(Mother-Load is the life sized Cinderella-like carriage)

Diadem (light heavyweight), 2008
Painted steel, stainless steel, foam core, polystyrene foam, bronze wire, rock sugar, shellac, acrylic gel medium
(This is the chandelier)

Sweet Thing, 2008
Blown glass, nickel-plated bronze
(This resembles a bad-ass piece of jewelry)
