May 1st from 6-9pm, Emily C-D is showing new artwork atSHINE in Hampden, located at 1007A w.36th St.
"PAPELES POR MIS OJOS is a series of collages created from paper
materials mostly collected in Mexico that Emily made in response to
her brief but intense journey there during the Day of the Dead
celebration last year. The series is also inspired by her work
teaching art to Latino students in the Mi Espacio program in East
Baltimore and considering the challenges they face as teenagers who
live lives split between two cultures."
