For his show of new works at the Wind Up space, Andrew Liang made 130 new painting on shaped panels of varying sizes, hanging them to fill the entire long wall of the bar / gallery.  Priced affordably from $10 - $75, it was an all out race at the opening for everyone to own their favorite pieces.  Some of us did not luck out:

Benjamin Edmiston's Talking Shop @ Infantree Gallery in Lancaster

A little bit of a trek, but definitely worth it if you're headed that way: Benjamin Edmiston's (Nudashank, Heady Mugs) "Talking Shop" opened at the Infantree Gallery in Lancaster, PA this past Friday. We were blown away by his intricate new works that depicted psychedelic heads, aquariums, decorated Greek vases, icebergs, snakes, and potted plants.

Aqua Wynwood Opening in Miami

me, in Miami

So far, Aqua Wynwood, the gallery district location for the Aqua Art fair, has been the most impressive, slick and exciting fair we've seen. Having a definite West Coast aesthetic, although an extensive range of work, Aqua Wynwood is a [slightly overwhelming] maze of neon and big names. Rented year round by the Aqua fair, the space has been extremely well considered, and easy to move though. The opening featured outdoor live-painting and a theater for video work-something a temporary tent set-up just doesn't allow for. Also, it must be noted that we drank lots of Campari, thanks to the fair's sponsors.
