The Menzshow, featuring the work of 4 local, contemporary, male painters opened this evening at Flux Studios on Charles Street. Tragically, this opening seemed to suffer from poor publicity, but the work is awesome, the space is inviting and in a convenient location. The Menzshow could benefit from a closing reception, or an artist talk/event that could bring in another crowd.
Robert Sparrow Jones' work was probably the most interesting, illustrating an intangible quality like memory mixed with the surreal:
